Hike to a Fresh Water Spring that Indians once used:
Guest love roaming the grounds and taking in all the vistas. A hike down a trail to a fresh water spring with a wading pool
is a favorite activity, as well as a pleasant form of exercise.  The ranch is on a location that was used by Indians as their camping ground.  Occassionally parts of flint tools are found at the spring.  They did their cooking at the spring.  As you are walking down to the spring you can notice mounds where the Indians used to have their tents.  The spring runs year-round even during droughts, so it was an ideal location for the Indians' campground.  You can even see old trees that are bent over where the Indians would hang their game.

Sunsets and evening skies are especially beautiful on the ranch.  Stars are brighter deep in the heart of Texas!
