This two-story, waterfront lake house is located on beautiful Lake LBJ in Granite Shoals, Texas, only an hours drive northwest of Austin, 90 minutes north of San Antonio, 3 hours south of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 3.5 hours west of Houston.

Lake LBJ is one lake in a chain of six lakes that makes up the Highland Lakes chain of lakes in central Texas.  Lake LBJ is a very popular lake because it is normally constant level which has the best in boating, water-skiing, Jet-skiing and swimming. 

Indoor Spa Tub

The lake house's four bedrooms, 2 baths and 2900 square feet of living space offers plenty of space for your group.  With an indoor hot/cold tub, decks on 4 sides of the lake house and covered porches from which to enjoy the waterfront view, you can't help but love this great lake house.

With the wildflowers from March thru June, eagles nesting from November thru March, speedboat racing in August, and 3 local wineries to enjoy year around, there's something for everyone in this beautiful part of the Lone Star State.

With a private boat slip and room to dock jet skis, a public boat ramp and quiet parks just around the corner, it is in the perfect location. You can have your boat on the water at a moment's notice.

From the lake house, you can boat for over 20 miles.   You can go east to the Wirtz Dam, south to Horseshoe Bay, north to Kingsland then west to explore the Llano River, or north to explore the Colorado River.  Lake LBJ also has numerous interesting coves to explore.

If you do not have a boat or personal watercraft, you can rent one locally.

Front of the Lake House

The town of Marble Falls is only 10 minutes away, offering plenty of shopping, antiquing, movies, restaurants, HEB (grocery), and a Super Walmart.   Everything you need are only minutes away.

You can enjoy a game of foosball upstairs on the Shelti Pro III, or win at poker downstairs on the game table with super comfy chairs. There are also numerous games for both children and adults. With two TVs and a library of both CDs and DVDs, there is something for everyone.

A basic Wii Gaming System is available with 2 remotes and nunchuck controllers.  The basic games that come with the system are available for your use.  Feel free to bring your own games or rent additional games to play.

Main Dining Area

The main dining area has a dining table that seats 8 people.  The dining area has a view of the water through a wall of windows.

Kitchen of the Lake House

The spacious, well-equipped kitchen has new appliances and is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, dinnerware, microwave, blender, dishwasher, ice maker and more.  It has everything you need to make your meals and snacks while you are on vacation.   All you need to bring is your food and drinks.

Sleeping Arrangements in the Lake House:

• King-sized bed in first floor master bedroom
• 3 Queen-sized beds - All on the second level
• Double bed fold-out sofa is approximately the size of a full-sized bed. (It is not a sofa bed pullout)
• Convertible bed -  Daybed used as casual furniture in the living area on first floor level. Can be used as a trundle for two singles or a popup for a king-sized bed for couples.

Nightly Rates:

March 1st thru September 30th:
$325 per night for up to 8 people.....stay 5 nights & get 6th night free
$15 per night, per person for extra persons over 8 people
Holiday Weekends - $375 per night

October 1st thru February 28th:
$295 per night for up to 8 people.....stay 5 nights & get 6th night free
$15 per night, per person for extra persons over 8 people
Holiday Weekends - $325 per night

There is a one time cleaning fee of $125 per stay.
3 night minimum stay
4 night minimum stay for the July 4th holiday this year

We are sorry but we are unable to accommodate pets.
Smoking outdoors only - no smoking in the house
We accept major credit and debit cards.

My family would like to recommend Lake LBJ Peacock House to other families.  We stayed with our son, his wife and our three grand kids from June 13 to the 17th.  We had a wonderful time.  What was suppose to be a one day stay, ended up staying 3 days, because it was so nice.  The house has plenty of space and is really set up perfect for a family or small group get together.  Very clean and plenty to do. The location of the house is perfect for those who enjoy boating.  We could be on the Colorado river in 10 minutes enjoying the smooth water for skiing and wakeboarding or head to the main lake in minutes for sight seeing or some good fishing.  After enjoying water sports all day the hot tub was a welcomed sight.  I loved being on a cove were my boat didn't get beat up from wakes and was protected in a boat house. Just around the corner from the house is a little park that was great for taking our 6 year old and six month old grand daughters swimming.  There is where we launched our boat.  It is a good boat launch!  We found the owners very pleasant to work with and very willing to answer all our questions.  It was easy to tell they take pride in this lake house and in making their guest welcomed.  When they tell you that all you need to bring is your clothes and food believe them.  This house has every thing.  The only disappointment we had was we didn't stay long enough.  We can't wait until our next visit, when we plan to stay longer.   Thanks & God's Blessings! - Paula & Rex
