Guests marvel at the beauty of this unique log home
on the shore of Lake Buchanan with its million dollar view of the lake. The home is
situated and designed to maximize the magnificent views of miles of open water. From
the moment of arrival as you gaze at this towering log home, nestled in the trees, you
know you are in for a memorable vacation!
The lake house has 2 bedrooms plus a loft bedroom, 3
1/2 baths, a massive stone fireplace, a deck overlooking the lake and 120 feet of
waterfront. The home can sleep up to 10 people in beds and more with the use of air
mattresses or sleeping bags.
The home is an hour drive northwest of Austin, 90
minutes north of San Antonio, 3 hours south of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 4 hours west of
Houston.
Floor to ceiling windows frame the beautiful stone fireplace and the
panoramic view of the the lake.
The living area invokes a feeling of a log cabin in the sky and is
appointed with a comfortable leather sofa, a cozy oversized chair with ottoman, and a
chaise for stretching out and enjoying the view of the lake. The antler chandelier
adds to the ambiance of this room.
The living room has a TV with satellite TV and DVD player, and a stereo.
A wrap-around deck provides a place to watch the activity on the lake and
to enjoy the gentle lake breezes.
The exta long fishing pier is the ideal place to catch your dinner.
Guests also love to stroll the fishing pier in the evenings and enjoy the stars.
The sandy bottom of the lake is great for swimming and wading in this part
of Lake Buchanan.
The sandy beach changes in size depending on the water level of the lake.
In the photo above the lake is about 80% full, making the beach area larger.
As the lake fills up the beach gets smaller.
Deck with a great view of the lake
This peaceful, tree-top deck has entrances from the
living room and the master bedroom. The deck is ideal for eating and relaxing, and
can be enjoyed daytime or nighttime. Star gazing and watching the moon shimmer over
the lake is an awe inspiring experience.
The stair way to the loft and upstairs bedroom is a
beautiful, custom made cedar staircase. Caution is needed when small children use
the stair case.
The high pitched wooden ceiling goes as high as 24 feet
in the middle of the living room.
Dining Area of the Lake House
The large dining table and antler legged bench adds to
the beauty and comfort of the dining area. This is another great place to enjoy the
lake views.
View toward the kitchen and loft areas
The Kitchen
The attractive, modern, open kitchen with granite counter tops has all the
amenities necessary for preparing a meal or snacks. Four bar stools provide extra
seating for meals or visiting with the "cook."
All you need to bring are your food and drinks.
Master Bedroom
The spacious master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a
beautifully carved wooden headboard with a sunburst design.
The log walls, wooden cathedral ceiling, windows to the
stars and adjoining deck all combine to make this bedroom a spectacular room!
Guests can enjoy lake views from windows in two
directions. The windows near the ceiling allow you to see the stars at night.
Doors from the master bedroom lead to the deck - a
favorite spot for morning coffee or enjoying the lake view.
Master Bathroom
The beautifully tiled master bath has a jacuzzi tub, a
separate shower, and plenty of counter space for his and hers toiletries.
A walk-in closet adjoins the master bathroom.
Cedar Stairway
The loft bedroom with its wooden ceiling and walls,
canoe shaped coffee table and other decorations such as wagon wheels make this room a
favorite with adults as well as kids. The futon provides seating as well as sleeping
space. This area overlooks the living room and has a great view of the lake.
Two twin beds in the loft bedroom sleep two people -
for a total of 4 people in this bedroom.
The third bedroom is also upstairs. It has a
double bed and two single bunk beds, a dresser with mirror, a rocking chair, and a TV.
A walk-thru closet runs between the loft bedroom and
this bedroom.
Bathrooms of the lake house:
There are a total of 3 1/2 baths in the lake house: the master bath, the upstairs
bath with a shower, the half bath off the living area, and the beach bath. The beach
bathroom, located next to the carport, is perfect for showering after swimming and being
on the beach.
You can tie up your boats and jet skis at the shore and
at the fishing pier.
A boat launch is only minutes away.
There is a laundry room with washer & dryer for your convenience.
