Come to LBJ Hill Country Log Cabin for a pleasant change of pace at a vacation getaway at beautiful Lake LBJ.  This charming waterfront log home is located in Oakridge Estates, adjacent to Horseshoe Bay, where the deer are so friendly they will walk right up to you.

Relax in the quiet country atmosphere on over an acre of land where the deer love to come visit the home. The area deer are very comfortable in the cabin's front and back yards, and they will be there to greet you quite often.  At certain times of year they will even bring their newborn fawns.  There are also a lot of wild turkeys in the area.

Close to Marble Falls, LBJ Hill Country Log Cabin is conveniently located only 50 minutes west of Austin, 85 minutes north of San Antonio, and about  3 1/2 hours from Dallas/Ft. Worth and 4 1/2 hours from Houston.

Tie up your boat next to the boat dock for access to Lake LBJ for boating and fishing. The home is only seconds away from the main water of Lake LBJ.  If you don't have a boat, one can be rented at the local marinas. 

You can catch fish right from the bank behind the house.

The neighborhood park provides a free boat launch for launching your boat and jet skis just minutes away.

Covered porches on all four sides of the log home

There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Hill Country from different vantage points on the wrap-around porch.  Each bedroom also has doorways to the porches.

Sit in the chairs on the covered porch and watch the deer, or sit on a more private side porch and watch your kids play basketball, or compete in a game of ping pong on another porch.

A picnic table and fire pit provide places for outdoor entertaining.  There is plenty of outdoor furniture to provide seating for everyone.

Bicycle Built for Two

Guests love riding around the area on the tandem bicycle looking at the deer and the lake.  Take a ride around the area and down to the conveniece store a mile away.  There is very little traffic.

The log house is located next to a large LCRA preserve which makes this a very quiet rural location.  Many animals come from the preserve to take a drink out of the lake behind the log house.  The deer come walking across the lot typically every morning and evening.

With its log walls, high ceilings and stone fireplace, the living room is a comfortable place to enjoy good conversations, watch TV and play games, two card tables are provided. 

The sofa in the living room makes into a bed that can sleep two additional people.

Kitchen of the log home

The kitchen of the log home has modern appliances, dishes, crock pot, pots and pans, flatware, etc.  A coffee pot, dishwasher and microwave provide all the conveniences of home.  All you need to bring are your food and drinks.  A convenience store is only a mile away.

Ample seating at the kitchen counter is provided with 5 bar stools.  A dining table seats 6 in the dining area next to the kitchen and living room.

The log cabin has two very large bedrooms located on opposite ends of the house.  Each bedroom has two queen-sized beds.  A bathroom with a shower is located off each bedroom.

The first bedroom has a sliding glass door that leads to a covered porch.   It also has a kitchenette with mini-fridge.  There is also a loveseat  in the first bedroom.

The second spacious bedroom has a refreshing decor with comfy bedding that will feel great at the end of the day.   Sliding doors on each end provide access to the wraparound porch and a nice view of the back yard.  Two dressers and a closet offer plenty of storage space for your clothing.   A TV with Satellite TV and DVD player is provided in this room.

A large laundry room with washer/dryer and an icemaker separates this bedroom from the rest of the cabin, making it a great kids' retreat.

     Minimum stay of 2 nights stay

     There is a one-time cleaning fee of $95.00

Guests wishing for longer stays will receive priority treatment for reservations made far in advance.  Reservations for June, July and August require a 4 night minimum when made well in advance.  Shorter reservations may be made available mid-Spring for June, July and August.
