A great getaway in Kingsland,
Texas on a quiet
cove off the Colorado Arm of Lake LBJ.
Welcome to Hideaway Cove Lake House on beautiful
Lake LBJ!
This lake house is the product of Texan ingenuity,
creativity, and just plain hard work. The owners recently transformed this 1920s
cottage into a stylish lake house with all of the modern conveniences.

They retained the integrity and many elements of the
original home. Materials such as beadboard, 12 x 12 planks and original ceilings
were recycled and preserved. A clever mix of the past and present combine to create
a charming lake vacation house.

Lake LBJ is one of the largest
normally constant level lakes in the United States and offers some of the best boating,
waterskiing, jet-skiing, fishing and swimming that you can find in Texas.
This lake house is only about 1 hour northwest of
Austin, 90 minutes north of San Antonio, 3 1/2 hours south of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 4 hours
west of Houston.
With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, it will comfortably
sleep up to 10 people in beds, sofas, air mattresses and sleeping bags.

Concrete bulkhead and walkway for tying up 2 boats
The concrete bulkhead has room to tie up two boats or one boat and jet
skis. This cove is in a no-wake zone making docking and launching boats and jet skis
quick and easy.
Guests like to sit in the shade and fish from the shore. There is
plenty of room for everyone.

Covered porch overlooking the water
The lake house is just a few steps to the water. The covered porch
has a great view from the glider and chairs. It has two ceiling fans you can use if
the breeze from the water slows down.

Glider on the porch
Tree swing with deck in the background
The tree swing and the glider on the porch are favorites with guests.
There is plenty of seating on the covered porch and the open deck next to the porch
only about 30 feet from the water.

The Guest Book
The lake house has been completely renovated while cleverly using some of
the original materials in creative ways. The word "Cute" applies to just
about everything in this home. A lot of imagination went into the decorating, and
antiques are the décor throughout. This is a very enjoyable home!

Living Room with water view
The inviting bright and comfortable living room with its wall of windows,
great views of the water, and plush seating beckons you to come on in and enjoy yourself!
The granite top coffee table and beautiful tile floor add style and practicality to
the room
Watch TV or a movie on the DVD player. Choose your favorite seat
from: a cushy sofa, love seat, recliner or leather club chair.

Dining Room of the Lake House
The quaint dining room is furnished with antiques including a 5 legged
dining table and an attractive buffet.

The clever use of a nautical theme and fishing motif are used throughout
the house. The curtain rod in the dining room is actually a spinnaker pole
from an English sailboat.

The Kitchen of the Lake House
This spic and span kitchen is fully stocked and in ship-shape. It
comes complete with a dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerator and additional small
appliances. All you need to bring are your food and drinks.
A washer and dryer are available for your convenience.

Master Bedroom of the Lake House
The master bedroom is a pleasant room with interesting decorative
touches. A chest that has belonged to the owner since he was a boy was hand-painted
with a scene of the cove. The chest, an antique armoire and fireplace
mantle add personality to the room.
The spindle four-poster double bed has been given new life with turquoise
paint.
The bath off the master bedroom has a shower.

Second Bedroom of the Lake House
This cozy bedroom has a view of the porch and the cove. The bedroom
has a double bed, chest of drawers and a rocking chair. Fish pillows and an
authentic fish hook from a 1948 Chris Craft boat continue the nautical theme.

Third Bedroom
Look closely and observe all the interesting decorative touches in this
bedroom, such as the curtain rod that is a fishing net, and the wall art that was a
window frame from the original house. A carved wall hanging of a fish scene was
salvaged from a bench that a friend gave the owners.
The room has a double bed, chest of drawers and a rocking chair.
Throughout the home you will find delightful items with a fishing theme.
Both bathrooms have a shower.
