You will marvel at the creativity in building this unique waterfront lake house.  The enclosed spiral stair case with carpeted stairs and beautiful wood encasement is something to experience.  The use of beautiful wood throughout is very attractive and pleasing.  The kitchen is a real charmer and the living room is very spacious.  You may enjoy this home so much that you will want to come back over and over!

This lake house has 80 feet of waterfront on the popular Colorado Arm of beautiful Lake LBJ.  Lake LBJ is one of the largest lakes in the United States that has normally constant level water.  From this location you can boat down the Colorado River a few miles, then boat on down Lake LBJ for about 21 miles, exploring the coves and looking at the expensive homes all the way to Horseshoe Bay.  You can also boat up the Llano River a few miles.

Granite Crossing Lake House No. 2 is located  near Kingsland, Texas about 60 minutes northwest of Austin, 90 minutes north of San Antonio, 3 hours from Dallas/Ft. Worth and 4 hours west of Houston.

This location is about one mile below the dam for Inks Lake.  When the dam is generating and releasing water, the water flows past this location and temporarily raises the water level 6 to 18 inches, giving it the features of a flowing river for a short time.  It is ideal for floating down past the granite boulders in the water and for tubing and boarding.  Guests really love this special feature!

Note:  Caution needs to be taken with children when the water is running rapidly.  They need to be aware of the occasional, temporary fluctuating water levels.  Life jackets are furnished and are required while swimming in this area for children.

This delightful, cleverly designed lake house is an attractive home in excellent conditon which can sleep up to 10 people in beds.  The home has 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths.  The first bedrooms each have a full-sized bed and the living room has 3 futons that can sleep 2 people each.

The home was designed with enjoyment of the lake in mind and has been built to maximize the use of the lake.  The living room and one bedroom have views of the lake.  You will really love this creative  A-Frame home!

The front and side yards are fenced in with a chain link fence for added safety.

Boat Launch Ramp

There are two boat launch ramps in the area, one is the community ramp in the photo above and another one is also available nearby.

Bring your boats and jet skis and tie them up at the dock at the lake house.  If you don't have a boat or jet skis, you can rent them locally.

The downstairs of the lake house has the kitchen, dining bar, a very large living room, and a full bath.  The downstairs has a beautiful wood ceiling.  The two bedrooms and a half bath are upstairs.

Living Room of the Lake House

The spacious living room has a great view of the lake.  The living room has carpeting and a beautiful wood ceiling.  Sliding glass doors lead to the covered porch with a wonderful lake view. 

There are 3 futons that make into beds for sleeping 6 guests in the living room.  A recliner and two Game-Boy chairs bring the seating up to seating 12 people in the living room.  The TV has satellite TV.

An over-stuffed chair and ottoman are in another part of downstairs.

Dining Bar

The dining bar next to the kitchen seats more people.  The spiral stairway is next to the dining bar.

Kitchen of the Lake House

The kitchen is clean and modern with an attractive use of wood and tile.  The kitchen has everything you need to make meals and snacks while you are vacationing at the lake.  It has a microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator and stove.  All dinnerware, glasses, etc. are furnished.  All you need to bring are your food and drinks.

A full bathroom is in the hallway downstairs.  It has a tub/shower combination.

A washer and dryer in a utility area off the living room are available for your use.

The first bed upstairs is a full-sized bed.  A flat screen TV is in this part of the room.  The upstairs has beautiful wood flooring and wood around the walls.

Second Bed Upstairs

The second bedroom has a great view of the lake.  It has a full-sized bed. 

The bathroom upstairs is a half bath. .
