The Galveston Victorian House is located in the heart of
Galvestons East End Historic District. The home was ornately constructed 135
years ago, and it survived the Great Storm of 1900 and Hurricane Ike of 2008.
The Great Room, entrance hall and stairway, along with the upstairs
bedrooms and bath comprise the original home built in 1871. Original hardwood floors
remain in the house. It is beautifully and comfortably appointed with period
compatible furnishings throughout to make your stay feel both timeless and memorable.
The house is situated in the middle of the charming East End
National Historic District and is placed on one of the most architecturally significant
and visually pleasing streets in Galveston. Ball Street is often visited by horse-drawn
carriages whose tours are conducted by local guides.
The home is tastefully landscaped with colorful flowers and plants
and a backyard fountain. The front lawn is manicured and the back deck/porch is
ideal for those who wish backyard privacy.

The house has over 1,800 sq. ft. which includes: 3
bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room, dining room and kitchen. One bedroom is being used
TV/sitting room with a sleeper sofa to sleep 2 additional guests for a total of 6 guests.


Living Room
The living room features two sofas and fine period
compatible furniture. This is an extremely comfortable and well lit room perfect for
relaxation and entertaining. A carved mahogany fireplace is the centerpiece of the
great room.

Dining Table with living room at the rear
The dining room is part of the living/dining area and
features a Queen Anne table with two leaves, and six chairs. A china cabinet, side board,
and bureau full of linen tablecloths and napkins are situated near the dining table. A
silver tea and coffee service is also included.

Kitchen
The kitchen has been completely renovated with new
appliances and granite counter tops and is furnished with two sets of china dishes, each
with 8 place settings. The silverware is a silver plated service for 12.
The kitchen is also stocked with quality pots and pans,
and all other items necessary to cook and serve any meal. A toaster, microwave, Cuisinart
food processor, electric ice cream maker, electric knife, and coffee maker are included.
The kitchen table comfortably seats four adults.

First and Second Bedrooms Upstairs
The house has 2 full bedrooms upstairs, each with queen-sized beds.
There is a full-sized bath upstairs.

Downstairs Bedroom used as a TV/Sitting Room
A downstairs TV/Sitting room/bedroom has a fully
convertible queen size sofabed with a memory foam pad.
Another full bath is adjacent to the TV/sitting
room.
