The waterfront deck is very popular with guests.  Lounge on the deck chairs, gaze at the beautiful lake at sunset, work on your tan, and enoy your favorite drink with your front row seat to the activity on the lake. 

The swimming deck and boat dock provide a place to tie up your boat and jet skis.  A boat launch is at the neighborhood park nearby. 

A gas grill, wood-burning campfire pit, and swing add to the enjoyment of The Cottage on lazy afternoons. 

Wireless, high speed internet is available.

Mornings at The Cottage offer sights of ducks,
geese, and wildlife starting the day. 

The Cottage is conveniently located on the east side on Cedar Creek Lake, only a little over an hour southeast of Dallas and 90 minutes north of Austin, Texas.

Guests love the incredible wooded setting full of mature oak & pine trees, highlighted in the spring by dogwood and azaleas.

Living Room

The living room has a fireplace for cool evenings, natural slate flooring, a large screen satellite TV with DVD and Sirius music, and plenty of comfortable seating for visiting with friends and relatives.  The living room offers views of the lake.

A variety of books, games, cards, croquet , horseshoes, and washers are provided to show off your skills!

There are ceiling fans in living room, dining room, both bedrooms, sleeping loft, entry, and front sitting porch.  

The Cottage has 4 TV sets with Satellite TV for relaxing evenings indoors after an active day on Cedar Creek Lake.

Dining Room

Farm fresh eggs, fresh roasted organic coffee beans and a kitchen stocked with treats will make breakfast on the lake something special!   Enjoy your coffee in bed, on the porch, or on the deck.....whatever location you choose is sure to delight!

The fully equipped kitchen is complete with stainless steel cookware, dishes, & utensils, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, microwave, gas oven, and cook-top with halogen lighted vent-hood.  There are small appliances, too...blender, toaster, coffeemaker, cappucino maker, waffle iron, mixer, & more.

The Cottage has a full-sized washer and dryer, and a 2nd refrigerator is located in the gameroom.

The Cottage is best suited for 4-6 guests looking for quality accommodations in spectacular surroundings.  Three queen-sized beds dressed in pure cotton linens hold the promise of sweet dreams and restful sleep.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom downstairs has a queen-sized bed, double closets, satellite TV with music and a ceiling fan.

Upstairs Bedroom

The upstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed, double closets, satellite TV with music, vaulted ceiling, ceiling fan, and overlooks the woods with a 100 year oak tree.

Sleeping Loft

The Sleeping Loft offers a king-sized bed, ceiling fan and a great view of the lake!

Pillows, comforters and throws are provided for napping!

     "The house looked and sounded wonderful when we were doing our research and making our reservations a couple of weeks ago - but the actual home and all of the extra touches that you and Michael provided more than lived up to our hopes and expectations.  We could not have asked for more.
     The kids loved playing horseshoes and croquet and, even more, digging and building sand forts on the beach.  John and I loved the Sirius sound system, the backyard, the tiki lamps and strings of lights that made the area look so magical every evening.  As a family, we enjoyed the living room and wonderful fires every night while we watched movies or played games. 
     The fishing was relaxing - just being able to walk out to our private beach and cast our lines was so nice - we didn't catch much but that did not matter.  The opportunity to enjoy each other's company in a beautiful, serene setting was most important.  The sunsets were amazing. 
     The warm peanuts on Sunday were a special treat as were all of the other special touches that were provided for our enjoyment - thick and thirsty bath towels, the heated bathroom stone floor, the reclining chairs, many soft blankets, the kitchen stocked with utensils and tasty treats.  We would be very interested in returning in the future." - The Novais Family

     Ron and Michael have the perfect getaway...for the weekend or longer!! Although you feel very secluded at the cottage...you're really not!! The fishing off the dock if GREAT, especially the catfish!! Sunsets are spectacular from the porch or dock. The cottage is very comfortable with all the comforts of home. The hospitality is second to none....Michael brought peanuts in the shell to us while we fishing on the dock and provided everythnig we needed to clean our catch of the day!!      "Our family had a wonderful time at the cottage. The tall pine trees kept the back yard shady and cool. The yard was nicely landscaped and a good place for our small children to play. We really enjoyed sitting on the back porch and on the deck over the lake watching the incredible sunsets and all the swimming ducks. The fishing was good and swimming was easy. We loved the strings of white lights hanging from the trees and houses. The house was very clean and nicely decorated, with ceiling fans throughout. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The family room was particularly nice with knotty pine paneling, slate tile floors, and wooded views.      "To say the Cottage exceeded our expectations would be a mild understatement. It had everything--and I do mean EVERYTHING. From fishing equipment to bath products to snacks and games, our hosts thought of it all. The kitchen alone had every pan, dish or cooking tool imaginable, including a blender with frozen drink canisters.
     Not only was everything neat as a pin and fastidiously clean, there were thoughtful details and homey, decorative touches throughout. We loved the fabulous quilts and stacks of pillows on each bed, the magazines, and cozy throws to wrap up in. If it weren't so gorgeous outside, we would have hunkered down and never ventured out. And why not when we had satellite TV in each bedroom (plus in the main room with a DVD player) and could pad around on heated slate floors?
     But it was hard to resist admiring the beautiful landscaping as we rocked on the porch. The lawn sloped down to the water, and it wasn't far to the dock which was ideal for swimming, fishing, happy-houring, and watching the magnificent sunset. There was even a hammock to laze in as we watched the ducks put on a show.
     And it just kept getting better. Only Mom could have worried more whether we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Hosts Michael and Ron brought us sliced apples, ciabatta bread, coffee, fresh eggs, and even a floating cooler for our drinks when we were in swimming.
