If you are looking for a scenic, quiet cove with open water vistas, fishing-swimming decks that double for sunset and stargazing, a boat ramp for launching your boat, and ample places to tie up your boat and jet skis, we have just the place for you!  If you don't have a boat or personal water craft, they can be rented locally.

Chevy Cove Lake House is a three bedroom, 2 bath waterfront lake house that can sleep up to 12 people.

Chevy Cove Lake House is located on Chevy Cove on beautiful Lake LBJ in Kingsland, Texas.  It is only 60 minutes northwest of Austin, 90 minutes north of San Antonio, 3 1/2 hours south of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 4 hours west of Houston.

Lake LBJ is one of the largest, normally constant level lakes in the United States.  Constant level water is the safest and best for boating, jet skiing and waterskiing.  You will love Lake LBJ!

The boat dock has a very large, partially covered deck that offers a panorama view of Chevy Cove on beautiful Lake LBJ.  The owner currently has his watercraft docked in the boat dock but there are plenty of places to tie up your boat and jet skis at the fishing deck and swimming/fishing dock.  Long term renters can ask about the availability of the lifts for their watercraft.

After a fun day on the lake, a beautiful sunset adds the finishing touch to a perfect day at Chevy Cove.  There is plenty of seating on the porch and deck for enjoying the sunsets.

Lake LBJ offers the best in boating activities.  With its normally constant level it is ideal for waterskiing, jet skiing, boating, fishing and swimming.  No need to worry about the water level on Lake LBJ.

 
Fishing Deck

The fishing deck is great for fishing, sunbathing, and relaxing while enjoying the lake activity.  You can also fish from our shore.  

Fishing is excellent at this location, especially using live minnows as bait for bass, catfish and crappie.

Concrete Swimming/Fishing Deck

The second swimming/fishing deck is a concrete deck that is partially shaded  by a large tree.  You can tie up your boat or jet skis at this dock.

The water is about 3 to 4 feet deep at the front of the property and gets deeper toward the middle of the cove.

Boat ramp for launching your boat

There is a boat ramp for launching your boat and jet skis located on the property.  If you don't have a boat or jet skis, you can rent them locally.

Ducks and geese are frequent visitors.

The property across the cove is home to a variety of birds including; peacocks, swans, Canadian geese, ducks, and guinea fowl.  Their grounds are lush and green and have plenty of large shade trees, and sometimes the Canadian geese and ducks come over for a visit.

The covered porch facing the water has plenty of seating for everyone.   There is a swing, outdoor sofa, 5 chairs with two tables, and two lounges.   There is also a smoker-barbeque to cook your "catch of the day."   The porch goes the full width of the house.

  
Hammock Swings

There are two hammock swings at the lake house.  One is on the shaded deck above the boat dock with a great view of the lake.  The other is over the edge of the water and you can fish from this one.

The Living Room

The living room, dining room and kitchen of the lake house are all open and airy and have great views of the lake.  

The spacious living room has a large flat screen TV with a VCR and DVD player, and a stereo for those times when you are indoors.  The living room also has an earth stove.

Futon

The living room also has an area with a futon sofabed that can sleep an extra two guests.

The Kitchen

The kitchen has a long bar for eating snacks, an island stove, and plenty of counter space and cupboards.  It includes a microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, and everything you need for preparing your meals and snacks. Just bring the food and drinks. 

Two tables in the dining room can seat up to 7 people.  Three bar stools at the kitchen island can seat another 3 people.

  
The Master Bedroom

The master bedroom of the lake house has a large picture window with an outstanding view of the lake.  A side window provides another view of the park-like setting and a lake view.  The comfortable king-sized bed has a great view of the water.

The master bath has a tub/shower combination and a second shower, and his and her sinks.

  
Second Bedroom

The second bedroom has a double bed and bunk beds and can sleep up to four people. 

  
Third Bedroom

The third bedroom also has a double bed and bunk beds and can sleep up to four people.

There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms.

A bathroom is located between the second and third bedrooms.  It has a tub/shower combination.

The home will comfortably sleep up to 12 people.

A washer and dryer are available for your use.

Covered parking is available for two cars in the carport.
