Private Fishing/Swimming Dock and Boat Lift

Lake Buchanan Escape consists of two lake houses, one is named "The Lake House" and the other is named "The Cottage."

The Lake House is a vacation rental home on Lake Buchanan that has a private fishing/swimming pier, a boat dock with an electric lift, and 120 feet of waterfront on beautiful Lake Buchanan.  It can sleep up to 8  people.

The Cottage is a lake home about a 4 minute drive away and is about 300 yards from Lake Buchanan.  The Cottage can be used for sleeping 6 additional people.

The two houses can be rented together to accommodate up to 14 people or they can be rented separately.  The descriptions of both houses and several photos are provided below.

The Lake House on Lake Buchanan

Buchanan Lake Escape is located in the lakeside community of Silver Creek on the east side of Lake Buchanan about 80 minutes northwest of Austin, 3 1/2 hours south of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 4 hours west of Houston.

The Lake House is on 120 feet of waterfront and has a large fishing/swimming dock and a covered boat lift.  You can tie up more boats and jet skis at the dock.

Boats and jet skis can be rented on Lake Buchanan.

Straight across the lake from this lake house is a public sandy beach area that is great for swimming, and it is only a 3 minute boat ride away.

The Lake House is just down the street from the Silver Creek community park which has a boat launch for launching your boat and jet skis.

The water near the shore is shallow and gets deeper at the end of the dock.  It is great for swimming in this area.

Lake Buchanan is a large lake that is popular for boating and fishing.  The striped bass are particularly good in Lake Buchanan.  Local fishing guides are available to take you out on Lake Buchanan.

The gentle breeze from the lake, the lush lawn and large shade trees provide a pleasant setting for enjoying the lake.  The house is located on two lots which gives it a private feel.

The open, spacious living area of The Lake House with its warm wood paneling creates a lake cabin atmosphere.  There is ample seating on a sofa, love seat, 3 recliners and other chairs.

Kitchen of The Lake House

The kitchen has everthing you need for making meals and snacks while you are on vacation.  In addition to a stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher, it has various small appliances including crock pot, griddle, and a Fry Daddy.  All dinnerware, pots and pans, etc. are included.  All you need to bring is your food and drinks.

Dining Room of the Lake House

The Lake House dining room has a view of the lake. The dining table can seat six people and there is an additional seating for two at the bar.

The first bedroom of The Lake House has a king-sized bed, dresser and night stand.

The bathroom is across the hall.  It has a shower/tub combination.  A 1/2 bath with a shower is located in the garage. 

Plans are under way to remodel part of the garage into a third bedroom with 2 bunk beds.

  
Second Bedroom of the Lake House

The second bedroom has a view of the lake through 3 windows.  The room has a double bed and a futon which can sleep 4 people.

There is room for air mattresses and sleeping bags to sleep additional guests.

The Cottage is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home about 4 minutes drive from The Lake House.  It is about 300 yards from Lake Buchanan.

The Cottage has sleeping for up to 6 people.

The Cottage is on two lots that have a very large shaded back yard which can be used for games and picnics.

There is a nice, large stone patio with a fire pit under a large shade tree in the back yard.  This is a favorite spot of guests for barbequeing and enjoying the lake breezes.

The Cottage has recently been renovated.   It has appealing dark beige walls with a white trim.  The Cottage is very cute with its crisp, clean 1950s style of decor.

The living room of the cottage has a swivel rocker, a sofa and a futon that makes into a bed for two guests.

Kitchen of The Cottage

The kitchen has been redone and is clean and open.  Guests delight in the beautiful older era stove that is in almost like-new condition.

The kitchen comes with dishes, glasses, pots and pans, dinnerware and everything you need for meals during your vacation.  All you need to bring is your food and drinks.

The dining area has a table with seating for 4.  Sliding doors provide extra light and a view of the side yard.

First Bedroom of The Cottage

The first bedroom of The Cottage has a double bed and dresser.   The crisp white bedding with the soft blue and mocha accent pillows create a cozy and inviting place to sleep.

Second Bedroom of The Cottage

The second bedroom of The Cottage has a double bed, chest of drawers and a dresser.  The walls of both bedrooms are a soft blue with white trim.

The bathroom in The Cottage is in the hallway.  It has a shower/tub combination.

The Lake House:
$250 per night for up to 6 people
$300 per night on Holiday Weekends
$15 per night, per person for extra persons over 6 people
Stay 5 nights & get 6th night free

The Cottage:
$175 per night for up to 6 people
$225 per night on Holiday Weekends
Stay 5 nights & get 6th night free

Rent Both The Lake House and The Cottage Together:
$425 per night for up to 12 people
$525 per night on Holiday Weekends
$15 per night, per person for extra persons over 12 people
Stay 5 nights & get 6th night free

There is a one time cleaning fee of $85 per stay per house.
2 night minimum stay
3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends
4 night minimum stay for the July 4th holiday this year
